CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Beginning this month, storytimes will happen twice each Thursday at the Redbud branch of Lake County Library located at 14785 Burns Valley Road in Clearlake.
Interactive storytime is at 10:30 a.m. and afternoon storytime is at 3:30 p.m.
The library invites the public to join in the fun at both storytimes which are free events for all ages.
Library cards are free, easy to get and provide access to an array of free library services.
Two new storytime people have joined the library team to bring stories and the gift of literacy to the storytime guests.
Storytimes feature picture books, music, crafts and fun, and are open to all ages.
Sandi Meisenbach, known as “Miss Sandi” to storytime guests, loves to immerse the children in literacy, surrounding them with stories, rhymes, singing and music to reach every child in one way or another.
Meisenbach retired with 25 years of service as a preschool director and teacher. She has presented storytimes at various venues around Lake County and is now taking over the Thursday morning storytime at Redbud Library.
Carolyn Veio, “Miss Carolyn,” has a degree in art and has planned some great craft activities as she takes the helm of the afternoon storytime.
