Grant opportunities available to help homeless community members

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Continuum of Care is pleased to announce the availability of two grant opportunities.

The first is an award of $1,014,750 through the California Emergency Solutions and Housing or CESH, Program administered by the California Department of Housing and Community Development, and a total of $1,298,634.18 through the California Homeless Emergency Aid Program, or HEAP, administered by the California Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council and the California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency.

Funds shall be expended in Lake County for a broad variety of activities to assist persons experiencing homelessness or are at imminent risk of homelessness. Funds shall be administered through the Lake County Continuum of Care, or LCCoC.

Agencies may submit proposals for more than one project, however each project must be submitted in its own, separate proposal. All proposals must be submitted to the Lake County Continuum of Care.

The award breakdown is as follows:

– For CESH, due Sunday, Oct. 7: Two $275,000 grants shall be awarded

– For HEAP, due Friday, Nov. 2: One $500,000 grant shall be awarded; two $200,000 grants shall be awarded; three $100,000 grants will be awarded.
