LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Sheriff’s Office recently became aware that some of its LakeCoAlerts subscribers have been receiving weather alerts in the early morning hours.
Lt. Corey Paulich said the Sheriff’s Office has disabled the National Weather Service alerts feature from the LakeCoAlerts system.
These alerts were sent out through the system by the National Weather Service and the sheriff’s office was not able to control the times the alerts went out.
If you are still interested in receiving the weather alerts you can sign up at https://www.weather.gov/subscribe .
The sheriff’s office encourages all Lake County residents to sign up for LakeCoAlerts at www.lakesheriff.com .
In the event of an emergency critical notifications will be sent out through the LakeCoAlerts system.
