Caltrans plans major roadwork through Jan. 31

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Emergency work at Witter Springs Road will end on Friday, Jan. 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Road 305D to Route 29 South will begin on Monday, Jan. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Pudding Creek to Mill Creek Drive will end on Saturday, Jan. 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Emergency work from Road 262 to Lake County line will begin on Monday, Jan. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work from Robinson Overcrossing to Route 253 will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 29. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping work from Steele & Davidson Lane to Bell Springs/ Road 324 will occur on Friday, Jan. 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Guardrail work from Red Mountain Creek to Route 271 will continue. Lane closure will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency work at Lake County Line will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 271

– Bridge work at McCoy Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
