Lake County Wine Studio hosts Local Cuisine Scene Feb. 9

UPPER LAKE, Calif. – Cache Creek Catering and Lake County Wine Studio are presenting a quarterly food and wine series featuring gourmet appetizers paired with select Lake County wines.
Locally produced foods are proudly featured as key ingredients in recipes created by Cache Creek Catering.
The first event in the series for 2019 will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Reservations are required.
The first pairing will be a citrus, avocado and pepitos salad, served with Dancing Crow Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc.
The second pairing features flank steak with red chili pesto and roasted heirloom potatoes paired with Wildhurst Vineyards red blend, Vineyard Walk.
The dessert course will be a dark chocolate truffle tart served with In Every Storm, a port-style wine made with port wine grapes from Elk Mountain Vineyard in the proposed Upper Lake Valley AVA.

Lake County Wine Studio is both a gallery for display of arts and a tasting room, wine bar and retail shop for the fine wines of Lake County.
Artists’ shows are held on a monthly basis with art and wine receptions held the first Friday and subsequent Saturday of each month except in January.
The gallery is located at 9505 Main St. in Upper Lake. The hours of business are Thursday to Monday from 1 to 7 p.m. and Friday from 1 to 8 p.m. The artist show on display for February is by Jack Ballance.
