LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Clear Lake Trowel and Trellis Garden Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, April 16, at the Scotts Valley Women’s Club House, located at 2298 Hendricks Road, Lakeport.
Desserts, coffee and tea will be provided.
The featured speaker will be Kitty Loberg, officer of the Santa Rosa Iris Society and district director of the Mendo-Lake Garden Clubs.
This will be educational, so bring your questions about irises.
The club will also put the final touches on the plant sale/garden bazaar that will be held on Saturday, May 4, at the Natural High parking area, 810 N. Main in Lakeport, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will be their main fundraiser for this year.
Besides offering plants grown in Lake County, members have collected and made bird boxes (wood and gourd), garden aprons, wind chimes and so much more.
The club selected this date since it will be a great time for finding unique gifts for mom for Mother's Day, which is the following weekend.
The club welcomes new members and information can be found by visiting www.clttgc.org.
