Lee was a marine electrician and worked on ships all around the world for 20 years.

The last 15 years of his career he worked for Exxon as an electrical contractor. He was called in as a "specialist" by Jack King of Exxon to investigate an explosion on the Exxon Philadelphia in Ana Cortez, Washington. Lee rode the disabled ship to Portland, Oregon to continue the investigation.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
