NICE, Calif. – Dixie Howard Duncan was born July 10, 1942, in Upper Lake, California, and passed away Aug. 19, 2019, at his home in Nice.

Dixie lived a period of years in Willits and Laytonville while employed by two large companies, Masonite of Ukiah and Harwood Products of Laytonville. He returned to Lake County and retired after years as the night shift floor manager at Robinson Rancheria Resort and Casino.

He was predeceased by his beloved son, Eric Earl Duncan. He is survived by his two granddaughters, Erica Mabel Duncan and Mariah Rose Duncan, both of Ukiah; his sister, Dorie Timmons of Upper Lake; his niece, Wanda Galvan of Nice, who spent the last years of his life with him every day as his caregiver; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary on Thursday, Aug. 22, from 1 to 7 p.m. Dinner will follow at Dixie's home at Robinson Rancheria.
