Howard Memorial Hospital, Ukiah Valley Medical Center affiliated physician clinics join Anthem Blue Cross Network for Covered California members

MENDOCINO AND LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Adventist Health’s Frank R. Howard Memorial Hospital and Ukiah Valley Medical Center and its affiliated physician clinics have reached a new multi-year agreement with Anthem Blue Cross to serve Anthem’s individual members who purchased their plans through Covered California.

With the new agreement, all affiliated physician clinics of Howard Memorial Hospital and Ukiah Valley Medical Center can accept Anthem Blue Cross Individual Pathway PPO sold via Covered California.

This includes physician offices: Adventist Heart Institute-Lakeport, Adventist Heart Institute-Ukiah, Fort Bragg Rural Health Center, Mendocino Family Care, Redwood Medical Clinic, Ukiah Valley Medical Specialties-Gastroenterology, Ukiah Valley Medical Specialties-Orthopedics, Ukiah Valley Rural Health Center-Lakeport and Ukiah Valley Rural Health Center-Ukiah network of clinics.

“We are pleased that members of Anthem Blue Cross Covered California now have complete network access to Adventist Health hospitals and its affiliated physician clinics,” said Gwen Matthews, president and chief executive officer of Ukiah Valley Medical Center. “We are confident we have made the right agreement that supports our collective efforts and helps community members to access the providers they need. We welcome members of Anthem Covered California at all of our clinics throughout Mendocino County and at our hospitals.”

Adventist Health also noted that Anthem Blue Cross Individual Pathway PPO members enrolled with a different medical group who wish to re-enroll with a Ukiah Valley Medical Center or Howard Memorial Hospital affiliated doctor should contact Anthem Blue Cross at the toll-free number on their current ID card.
