LAKEPORT, Calif. – Championship bass fishing is coming to Lakeport Friday, March 7, through Sunday, March 9, as the Coors Light Future Pro Tour, the largest and most exciting all-amateur bass fishing circuit in the west, brings its year-end championship event to beautiful Clear Lake.

Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino is the major host sponsor for this 2014 tournament. The Lake County Chamber of Commerce is a partnering sponsor.

More than 79 qualifying teams will battle for three days, where on the final day, Sunday, only the top 15 teams with the most weight from the previous two days, will remain to fight it out for the keys to a brand new Ranger boat with Evinrude outboard valued at over $35,000.

You’ve seen the Bassmasters, and maybe have even seen FLW’s professional anglers “do their thing” on Clear Lake, but wait until you see 79 ordinary, amateur-level teams go at it on a lake which by most accounts, is considered to be the best pound-for-pound bass fishery in the country.

And the Coors Light Future Pro Tour would like to invite everyone to come see and experience the final weigh-in at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Gazebo in Library Park, Lakeport. There will be a free raffle held every 15 minutes for prizes such as the latest electronics, children's bikes, rods, reels, fishing gear, gift cards, and the grand raffle prize – a flat screen television.

The free raffle starts promptly at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday only, and is for any and all spectators watching the weigh-in festivities.
