KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The service at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County on Sunday, April 19, will be presented by a member of the Faithful Fools Street Ministry in San Francisco.

The service begins at 11 a.m. at the church, located at 3810 Main St. in Kelseyville.

Guests are welcome.

The Faithful Fools work in the Tenderloin District, and offer a ministry “of presence” and accompaniment, along with various writing and arts programs, to all who come.

Rev. J.D. Benson, a Faithful Fool as well as assistant minister at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of San Francisco, will share stories of the streets, her own deep learning as a fool and questions we might consider about our relationships with people we may think are so different from ourselves.

The word “fools” is used in the context of the medieval idea of the fool as truth-teller.
