KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The service at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County for Sunday, Nov. 12, will include a bread communion ceremony.

The service starts at 11 a.m. at the church, located at 3810 Main St. in Kelseyville. All are welcome.

The title of the sermon is “Blessing the Bread of Life.”

Rev. Dr. Carrie Knowles will lead the service.

In her words, “November is the time of harvest and gratitude. This season has also seen catastrophic wildfires that have changed forever the lives of so many around us. As we celebrate community by breaking and sharing bread together, we hold in our hearts all our neighbors everywhere and hope for the healing of the earth.”

Also during this service, the “Guest at Your Table” program will begin.

Individuals who wish to participate will receive a small box to put on their tables at home. When enjoying a meal, coins may be dropped into the box and will later be sent to the UU Service Committee to support their work to advance human rights.

Families are welcome. Inspired by the UU principles, character-building activities for children are provided during the service.
