St. John’s Episcopal Church plans Christmas Eve service

LAKEPORT, Calif. – St. John’s Episcopal Church invites the community to its annual candlelight Christmas Eve service to be held on Sunday, Dec. 24, at 7 p.m.

Well-loved Christmas songs will be featured in the Victorian era sanctuary.

St. John’s has held annual Christmas Eve services since 1899.

According to Senior Warden Leila Haddad, “Our Christmas Eve service is a gift to the community of Lake County. Our motto is ‘The Episcopal Church welcomes you,’ and we are proud of our history of inclusion for all people who step through our gate and into the doors of our beautiful place of worship.”

The Rev. James (Jamie) Knutsen will preside.

St John’s is located at 1190 N. Forbes St., Lakeport, on the corner of Clearlake Avenue.
