KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The service of the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County for Sunday, April 8, will be led by the Rev. Dr. Carrie Knowles.

The service begins at 11 a.m. at the church, located at 3810 Main St. in Kelseyville.

Guests are welcome and encouraged to attend. Values-based child care is provided.

The title of the sermon is, “After Exodus: Our Call, Our Response.”

April 7 is the last day of Passover, a week of seders and ritual that commemorate the exodus of the Hebrews from enslavement in Egypt and their journey to the Promised Land.

The story has resonated for centuries as a pattern for liberation and for the way forward toward justice and compassion. Rev. Knowles considers the challenge and promise of the journey of our time.

Rev. Knowles is a graduate of Starr King School for the Ministry. A former resident of Lake County, Rev. Knowles now resides in the Bay Area.
