LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Board of Supervisors and Lake County Planning Commission will hold a joint hearing on Tuesday afternoon during the board's regular meeting to consider an update to the county's housing element.
The meeting will start at 9 a.m. Tuesday, March 27, in the board chambers on the first floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St., Lakeport. TV8 will broadcast the meeting live.
At 2 p.m., the board and commission will convene to consider a proposed negative declaration based on Initial Study (IS 11-32) for the adoption of and update to the Housing Element of the Lake County General Plan (GPAP 11-03).
The previous housing element was adopted in December 2004. It's required by state law, and is “an assessment of housing needs and an inventory of resources and constraints relevant to meeting those needs,” according to county documents.
In other news, in an untimed item, the board will consider approving a lease between the county and Gary and Shelley Weiser for office space at 4477 Moss Avenue, Unit B, Clearlake.
