LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lake County Disaster Council will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 20.
The meeting will take place in the Lake County Board of Supervisors Chambers on the first floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St.
The public is invited to attend.
The Disaster Council meets quarterly to discuss and review emergency operations, plans and procedures.
The council consists of members of the Board of Supervisors, the sheriff (as director of Emergency Services) and other emergency services agencies.
The Disaster Council fulfills one of the requirements that makes the county eligible to receive state and federal disaster aid.
Items on the agenda for this week’s meeting include reports on recent storm recovery activities, status of current emergency operations, grants, fire recovery activities and the emergency operations plan update.
The full agenda, draft minutes of the January meeting, and the draft Emergency Operations Plan have been posted to the county and sheriff’s Web sites. A limited number of printed copies of the draft plan will be available at the meeting.
