Caltrans plans major roadwork through Aug. 13

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans wishes to advise motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise above.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Utility work from Van Sleeper Road to Sayre Avenue will continue through Friday, August 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Lucerne East to Rosemont Drive on Monday, Aug. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. overnight. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Private Road on Tuesday, Aug. 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Highway construction from the northern Route 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Robinson Reef Drive to Glennen Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 11, and Wednesday, Aug. 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Private Road/Brush Creek to Alder Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Mowing from Irish Beach Drive to Comptche Ukiah Road will begin Friday, August 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation from North Limits Elk to Brewery Gulch Vista Point will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Manzanita to Happy Lane will begin Monday, August 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Grinding, paving and striping roadwork from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road will continue through Friday, Aug. 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Striping operation from Airport Road to Road 8136 will begin Monday, Aug. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Roadway excavation near Road 200A will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Striping operation from Geysers Road to Hopland Overhead Bridge will begin Sunday, August 9. Moving lane controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Paving and Concrete pour operation from Geysers Road to Hopland Overhead Bridge beginning Monday, Aug. 10. Lane controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Paving and striping work from the Hopland Overhead Bridge to Geysers Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at McNab Creek Bridge will begin Monday, August 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Bridge work at Robinson Creek Bridge will begin Monday, August 10. Northbound lane controls and full closure of northbound on-ramp to Route 101 will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays and use alternate routes.

– Bridge work at Masonite Road Overcrossing will begin Thursday, Aug. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. LC#T101GA

Highway 128

– Striping operation near Route 1 intersection will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Flynn Creek Bridge will begin Monday, Aug. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Bridge work at Indian Creek Bridge will begin Monday, Aug. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Bridge work at Maple Creek Bridge will begin Monday, Aug. 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Bridge work at Beebe Creek Bridge will begin Monday, August 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

Highway 162

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Town Creek Bridge to East Lane Road on Wednesday, Aug. 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Guardrail work at Slide Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
