Caltrans plans major roadwork through Oct. 1

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans advises motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Utility work from Van Sleeper Road to Sayre Avenue will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Upper Lake Lucerne Road on Tuesday, Sept. 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Core drilling at Morrison Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Clearlake Oaks Maintenance will be working from Long Valley Road to Gravel Plant Road on Monday, Sept. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road to Hofacker Lane will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from B Street to Spruce Grove Road North will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Seigler Creek Bridge to Seigler Canyon Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Highway Construction near the Route 281 junction will continue. One-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Highway construction from the northern Route 29 junction to Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Casa Dicaccia Road to Sunrise Vista Resort on Monday, Sept. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Salmina Resort on Wednesday, Sept. 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Schwartz Road to Road E/Road 110 on Tuesday, Sept. 29. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Putah Creek Bridge to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Grinding and paving work from Old State Highway to Mill Street, Point Arena will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Bridge inspection at Salmon Creek Bridge, Navarro Ridge Road will continue. Full closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Paving work from Ocean View Drive to Pudding Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency sewer replacement. A failed sewer beneath one southbound lane from Alder Avenue to Redwood Avenue, Fort Bragg, will begin, Thursday, Sept. 24. Lane reductions 24/7 in southbound lanes will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Striping operation and guardrail work from Pudding Creek to De Haven Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work at North Area Bridge, De Haven Creek will continue One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at Soldier Point Viaduct will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Fort Bragg/Main Street to Redwood 101 Undercrossing on Monday, Sept. 28. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Paving work from Holly Street to Monica Lane will continue. Lane controls will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 101

– Paving work from Geysers Road to East Side Road/Russian River will continue. Lane controls will be in effect 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at the McNab Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Bridge work at Robinson Creek Bridge and Northbound on-ramp to 101 will continue. Northbound lane controls and full closure of the northbound on-ramp to Route 101 will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays and use alternate routes.

– Bridge work at Masonite Road Overcrossing continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minimal delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic delays.

Highway 128

– Bridge work at Flynn Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Indian Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Maple Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Bridge work at Beebe Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

Highway 162

– Bridge work at Bloody Run Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Old Toll Road to Buckman Drive on Friday, Sept. 25. One-way traffic controls will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for work from east of Buckman Drive to east of Motorcycle Park Entrance on Friday, Sept. 25. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 271

– Striping operation from Reynolds State Park Drive to Route 101, Piercy, will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
