LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Anderson Marsh Interpretive Association is pleased to welcome Gordon Haggitt as the newest member of its board of directors.

“Gordon is the grandson of one of the original Anderson family members who first settled in Lake County at what was to become the Anderson Ranch,” explained AMIA President Roberta Lyons.

“The AMIA Board is excited about his participation,” said Board Treasurer Henry Bornstein. “Gordon’s knowledge, experience and energy will greatly contribute to our efforts to continue to insure that this unique place remains open and accessible to the public.”

AMIA is a nonprofit association formed in 1984. The Association partners with the California Department of Parks and Recreation to help protect the cultural and natural resources contained within Anderson Marsh State Historic Park and Natural Preserve and to promote educational and interpretive activities at the Park.

Anderson Marsh State Historic Park is located on Highway 53, between Lower Lake and Clearlake.
