Snowfall accumulations of an inch were reported in Kelseyville and Cobb Tuesday evening, NWS reported.
The California Highway Patrol reported snow falling on the Glasgow Grade at just after 10 p.m. Icy road conditions causing vehicles to spin out on roads were reported around the county earlier in the day.
The snow is forecast to pass by Wednesday, with partly cloudy conditions expected, according to NWS, and a partly sunny forecast later in the week.
NWS warns of “treacherous driving conditions” as melting snow ices over, making roadways exceedingly dangerous. Motorists traveling through southern Lake County are urged to use special caution.
