HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – The Hidden Valley Lake Association Board of Directors has named a Southern California professional as its new permanent general manager.
Edward E. Simpkins of Temecula has been chosen for the job, the association reported.
Simpkins succeeds interim General Manager Rod Wood, a retired Beverly Hills city manager who consulted with the association’s Board of Directors for the past eight months.
The association said Simpkins holds professional memberships in a dozen organizations, and professional accreditations and certifications from nearly a dozen more management associations.
Most recently, Simpkins was the interim general manager for Canyon Lake, an Inland Valley homeowners association.
His additional 27 years of experience includes managing high-end country clubs and resort developments by way of southern Atlantic states, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Colorado before landing at Lake Wildwood in 2008.
In 2014, Simpkins moved to the general manager spot for two years at Bear Valley Spring Association in Tehachapi prior to Canyon Lake.
The association announcement said Simpkins plans to relocate his family to Lake County in the next couple of months pending the sale of their Temecula residence.
Simpkins will meet with the staff and board when he arrives Thursday morning, the association said.
A member’s reception for Simpkins will be announced as soon as arrangements can be made.
