The fifth annual "Year in Review" will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, at the Presbyterian Church of Kelseyville, Church and 3rd streets.

The evening will shine a spotlight on the events and accomplishments of the various watershed groups throughout the county's Upper Cache Creek Watershed, and also the two local Resource Conservation Districts.

The West Lake Resource Conservation District (RCD) will announce the recipient of their "2006
Partner of the Year" award. Last year's well-deserved award was given to the Lake County Department of Public Works, Water Resources Division, under the direction of assistant director Bob Lossius.

Greg Dills, watershed coordinator for the East Lake and West Lake RCDs, will present highlights of a number of accomplishments during 2006. The presentation will cover conservation activities throughout the county, and is the highlight of the evening. It provides a wonderful opportunity for the community to see what these groups do. Be sure to mark this great event on your calendar for 2007.

All stewardships, CRMPs, and watershed councils are invited to attend, and are being asked to assist with refreshments. The groups are also encouraged to bring materials that they'd like to display or share with others.

Natural resource partners, public agencies, tribes, neighbors, friends, and everyone interested in the health of the local watersheds are welcome and encouraged to attend the event.

"The evening is sure to be very informative and, most importantly, a great deal of fun,” said Kevin Ingram, chairman of the Big Valley CRMP. “It is always a wonderful opportunity for the community
to come together and share ideas and successes. Besides, what better way to bring in the New Year than with good company and great food!"

Anyone desiring more information or those interested in helping with refreshments should contact Kevin Ingram at 279-2196, Linda Juntunen at 263-7950 or Greg Dills at 263-4180, Extension 12.
