At 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, Lakeport Police officers responded to the area of Second and Main streets for a report of a male subject fleeing the scene of a theft. The officers who responded to the area and were informed that the subject had fled toward Willopoint Resort, police said.
The department said the officers searched the area with assistance from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and were ultimately unable to locate the subject.
Lakeport Police officers interviewed the victims of the theft and were informed that the subject had tried to steal more than $100 in merchandise from Campos Casuals, according to the report.
