Small business startup and expansion training planned for Feb. 22

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. — Do you have an idea you always believed could make a great business? The county of Lake wants to help you get started.

On Wednesday, Feb. 22, at 6 p.m. the county of Lake will host a small and micro business owner training in Lower Lake, focused on “Business Start-up and Expansion in 2023.”

This valuable event, hosted by program operator, Community Development Services, or CDS, is part of the county of Lake Small and Micro Business Assistance Program, funded through the State of California’s Community Development Block Grant program.

Participants will receive information and assistance in the following subject areas:

• Developing your business plan;
• Knowing your customer;
• Revenue and cost forecasting;
• Funding your business; and
• Workforce development.

These are some of the building blocks you need to take your business from an idea or concept to reality, and this event is well suited to those thinking about starting a business, as well as existing business owners with five or fewer employees.

There is no cost to attend, but space is limited, and is it expected there will be significant interest.
