Caltrans plans major roadwork through May 3

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY
 
Highway 20

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for work from Foothill Drive to First Street on Friday, April 27. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Shoulder work near Foothill Drive will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work near Catholic Church Road on Wednesday, May 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Emergency work 1 mile south of Navarro Bluff Road will begin. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work a half a mile south of the Little River Airport. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Electrical work near Caspar Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work near Porterfield Lane on Tuesday, May 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– The city of Willits has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work on Tuesday, May 1. Lane closures will be in effect in both directions from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 101

– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Pavement work near the Route 222 junction will begin. The southbound offramp will be fully closed. Motorists should find an alternate route.

– Emergency work south of Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions. Motorist should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Drainage work north of Uva Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work south of the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work north of Piercy will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– Emergency work near the Highway 1 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Hibbard Road to Big Oaks Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Wall work at The Middle Way will continue. One-way traffic control with temporary stop signs will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency work east of the entrance to Motorcycle Park will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
