UKIAH, Calif. – The Mendocino Family of Companies announced that, eight months after establishing the Redwood Valley and Santa Rosa Community Recovery Fund, the company made its final matching donation of $89,000.

The total amount matched, $400,000, means that $800,000 has been raised to support community restoration for youth, elderly, educators, emergency workers, and animals affected by the devastating Nuns, Redwood Valley and Tubbs fires.

“This effort on the part of so many who love these communities has been incredible,” said Bob Mertz, CEO. “These funds are being put to work through a number of outstanding, local non-profit partners in Redwood Valley and Santa Rosa focused on restoring the quality of life our neighbor’s treasure.”

The Redwood Valley and Santa Rosa Community Recovery Fund was established by the Mendocino Family of Companies through the Community Foundation of Mendocino County to support community restoration for youth, elderly, educators, emergency workers, and animals affected by the devastating Nuns, Redwood Valley, and Tubbs fires. Every dollar raised will be distributed in Mendocino and Sonoma counties.

Through May, distributions totaling $315,000 have been made to a variety of non-profit organizations. Recipient’s list may be found at www.MendoCo.com .

To ensure each donation directly benefits the community, the Mendocino Family of Companies has also paid all related administrative and promotional costs to manage the fund.
