Caltrans plans major roadwork through June 13

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Drainage work from Blue Lakes Road to the Colusa County Line will begin Sunday, June 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Catholic Church Road to the southern 53 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Road construction for the Lake 20/53 Roundabout will continue from Private Road to Junction 53 south. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction and road striping Hartmann Roundabout began Monday, June 3, from Putah Lane to Spruce Road / Hidden Valley. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Diener Drive to Mockingbird Lane will begin Sunday, June 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights overnight. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency work from 4 miles east of Mathews Road will begin Monday, June 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Tree work from Putah Creek to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Emergency work at Brush Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Philo Greenwood Road on Monday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 11. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Paving operation on Friday, June 7, north of Elk. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Gualala Baptist Church to Ocean Drive, Gualala from Monday, June 10, to Wednesday, June 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Slide removal south of Navarro River Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Emergency work two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Crews will be mowing from Road A to Road 231 near the Lake Mendocino Park East Entrance on Sunday, June 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Road work from Hollands Lane to Walker Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Roadwork from Access Road to Potter Road in Potter Valley will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Electrical work on Potter Road in Potter Valley will occur on Friday, June 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 101

– K-rail installation and pavement repair from Cominsky Station Road to Pieta Creek Bridge will begin Wednesday, June 12. On-way traffic controls will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Road paving between north Percy to one mile south of Lowell Allen Memorial Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work on Big Trails Drive on Sunday, June 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor delays.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 128

– Emergency work from Route 1 to Flynn Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Route 1 to east of Philo will begin on Monday, June 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 162

– Shoulder work 1.5 miles east of Corral Creek Bridge will begin Monday, July 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Shoulder work 1.5 miles north of Rodeo Creek Bridge will occur on Friday, June 7, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 175

– Emergency work near the southern Highway 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Emergency work from Route 128, Boonville to Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
