LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Lake County Farmers’ Finest is celebrating National Farmers’ Market Week with a beautiful market basket featuring products from farmers’ market vendors.

Enter the raffle for a chance to win a bountiful farmers’ market basket. The drawing is on Saturday, Aug. 10.

Tickets are available at the Saturday morning market at Steele Wines in Kelseyville, 8:30 a.m. to noon, and at the Tuesday morning market at Library Park in Lakeport, 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

You need not be present to win, as long as they can read your writing.

There are five times as many U.S. farmers over the age of 65 compared to those under 35.

Farmers markets provide one of the only low-barrier entry points for new farmers, allowing them to start small as they learn and test the market.

In its 20th year, the annual week of celebrations brings awareness to the role local farmers' markets play in creating healthy communities, and in building prosperity among farmers and small businesses.
