SOUTH LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Spirit of the Season is preparing to hold the registration for its annual holiday giveaway.

Spirit of the Season is a Christmas program for residents who are in need at the holidays and live in Middletown, Cobb or Hidden Valley Lake (other areas are covered by other programs).

SOS provides a complete turkey dinner with all the fixings, plus gifts for children who are in high school or younger.

Registrations will be held at the Middletown Community United Methodist Church on Armstrong Street from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, Wednesday, Nov. 13, and Thursday, Nov. 14, and 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20.

If you did not participate last year, bring proof of residence by providing a current driver's license or utility bill and proof of income such as a payroll stub or bank statement.

The Wish Tree portion of Spirit of the Season offers gifts to children so parents are asked to bring three written ideas of potential gift ideas.

This year the "wishes" are limited to items $25 or less.
