Scotts Valley Community Advisory Council meets Nov. 23

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Scotts Valley Community Advisory Council will hold its next meeting on Monday, Nov. 23.

The meeting will take place beginning at 5 p.m.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, council meetings will be available for participation virtually via Zoom, meeting ID, 942 2005 8817; passcode, 888512.

Guest speakers will include Kevin Waycik on Neighborhood Watch; Mel McMurrin on the Volunteer Emergency Radio Network; and a sheriff’s office representative on issues of theft, dumping and destruction of property.

There also will be an open forum for community members to share concerns and ideas with District 4 Supervisor Tina Scott.

Under old business, Supervisor Scott will provide a current fund balance for the trust fund that’s historically used for Scotts Creek bed clearing for Scotts Valley Road.

They also will discuss applicants for the council, guard rail repair, willows that need to be cleared and a request for animal crossing signs for Scotts Valley Road.

Under new business, they will discuss Scotts Valley/Eickoff Road issues.
