NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.
Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.
Caltrans advises motorists to drive with caution when approaching work areas and to be prepared to stop at traffic control stations.
The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes unless noted otherwise.

LAKE COUNTY
Highway 20
– Tree work from north Saratoga Spring Road to south of Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
– Bridge work from Clover Creek to Upper Lake Lucerne Road will occur on Thursday, March 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 29
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Wardlaw Street to Lupiyoma Creek on Wednesday, March 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Highway construction from Spruce Grove Road North to Route 53 North Lower Lake will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Spruce Grove Road North to Bell Park Avenue on Wednesday, March 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from North Soda Bay Road to the intersection with Route 281 beginning Monday, March 1. Lane closures will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 175
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Stewart Street beginning Tuesday, March 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
MENDOCINO COUNTY
Highway 1
– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Sunset Drive to Fish Rock Road on Friday, Feb. 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Private Road to Crispin Road on Monday, March 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
Highway 20
– Sign installation from Route 1 to Broaddus Creek Bridge will occur on Friday, March 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
Highway 101
– Sign installation from Geysers Road to Pieta Creek Bridge will occur on Friday, Feb. 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Emergency work from Uva Drive to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minutes delays.
– Sign installation from Ridgewood Ranch Road to Road 310B Shimmins Ridge will occur on Friday, Feb. 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Emergency work from North Willits Railroad Crossing to Big Trails Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minutes delays.
– Moss Cove Safety Rest Area will be closed through Fall 2021.
– Emergency work from Irvine Lodge Rest Area to Long Valley Creek 10 99 will begin on Friday, Feb. 26. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.
– Sign work from Ten Mile Creek to Bell Springs & Road 324 will occur on Friday, Feb. 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Emergency work from Rattlesnake Summit to Bell Springs & Road 324 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists can anticipate 20-minute delays.
– Empire Camp Safety Rest Area will be closed through Fall 2021.
– Sign installation from Frontage Road to South Fork Eel Bridge 100-299 will occur on Friday, Feb. 26. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
Highway 128
– Sign work from Route 1 to West Limits Philo will begin on Monday, March 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– Sign work from West Limits Philo to Sonoma County Line will begin on Monday, March 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Lambert Lane to Haehl Street on Friday, Feb. 26. Lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.
Highway 162
– Sign work from Road 8158 to Short Creek will begin on Monday, March 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
Highway 175
– Sign work from Dooley Creek to Private Road will begin on Wednesday, March 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
Highway 253
– Sign work from Route 128 (Boonville) to Stipp Lane will begin on Wednesday, March 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
Highway 271
– Sign work from Route 101 - Cummings to South Fork Eel River will begin on Wednesday, March 3. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
