LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – The Lake County Airmen Association will host an airplane display at Lakeport’s Lampson Field Airport this Saturday, April 24.

Several airplanes will be on display from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the north hangar area that is located on Gil Evans Way, off Highland Springs Road.

“The public is invited to view the airplanes and talk with their owners and learn more about the rich aviation history of Lake County,” said association President Tom Lincoln. “There are several historic airplanes hangared on the field as well as newer, more modern airplanes, all of which are in beautiful condition.

“The hangar doors will be open,” he continued, “and written descriptions of the planes and some of their unique characteristics will be displayed as well.”

LCAA is a member association of pilots, airplane owners and flying enthusiasts. Lampson Field and the activities that are conducted there make a significant economic contribution to Lake County.

Lampson Field is located south of Lakeport. From Highway 29, take Highland Springs Road south to Gil Evans Way then turn right and proceed into the hangar area.

There is ample parking and local pilots will be there to assist.
