KELSEYVILLE, Calif. — Over Veterans Day weekend, Kelseyville Girl Scout Troop 10145 demonstrated their commitment to honoring and remembering veterans with a series of impactful events.

On Friday, Nov. 11, the troop organized a pancake breakfast fundraiser to raise funds and awareness for Wreaths Across America, a nationwide initiative to honor fallen veterans.

The event took place at the Saw Shop Public House, generously donated by the establishment along with food and staff support.

The pancake breakfast, held on Friday, was a tremendous success, drawing significant community support and enthusiasm.

Troop members were delighted to serve their community and express gratitude to all those who attended and supported their cause.

Wreaths Across America, scheduled for Dec. 16 from 9 to 10 a.m., will see the troop placing wreaths on the graves of Veterans at the Kelseyville Cemetery.

The troop is dedicated to ensuring that each veteran's final resting place is adorned with a symbol of gratitude and remembrance.

Continuing their commitment to honoring Veterans, Quinn Siefert and Audrey Panella represented Girl Scout Troop 10145 at the Lake County Veterans Day Ceremony on Saturday at the Konocti Vista Casino.

They took the opportunity to express heartfelt thanks to local veterans and shared information about the upcoming Wreaths Across America event.

Quinn Siefert, a proud member of Girl Scout Troop 10145, shared her thoughts on the event: “Today I felt honored to be asked to speak about Wreaths Across America and the opportunity to honor our veterans that have served our country. My uncle Charles Cossette, AKA my “Uncle Chunk” served in the army for twenty two years that included seven overseas deployments away from his family. I am so grateful for his service and sacrifice and today felt really good to be able to stand up and honor all veterans and their families.”

The troop extends its sincere gratitude to Saw Shop Public House for their generous donation of food, venue, and staff for the pancake breakfast.

Special thanks are also due to the Lions Club of Kelseyville and Stokes Ladders for their efforts in preparing food for the event.

Lake County Signs and Banners is acknowledged for their donation of a banner, a lasting contribution that will be used by the troop for years to come.

Troop 10145 expresses profound appreciation to the community and supporters who turned out in force, demonstrating their commitment to honoring and remembering our veterans. Bravo to Girl Scout Troop 10145 for their dedication to making a positive impact on the Kelseyville community and beyond.
