John Glenn Wilds
Feb. 14, 1963 – Jan. 14, 2021

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – John passed from a swift and brief illness, with a brother by his side.

As John's soul peacefully left his earthly body, Kyle Wilds delivered loving messages and shared music from other surviving siblings: Laura (Steven) Rethemeyer, Linda (Ron) Beltz, Leanne Wilds (Mike), Max Wilds and Elizabeth Wilds.

He leaves six nieces and nephews, a great-nephew, many extended family members and friends, and a companion dog.

A long-time resident of Lake County, from a family that spans back four generations, John is predeceased by his parents, George and Evelyn Wilds and brother, William, who died in infancy.

John was a kind man, both to those he knew well and to many who simply crossed his path. A good listener and conversationalist. An explorer at heart … a lover of nature, watcher of night skies, dreamer of other realms.

“You’re sailing softly through the sun, in a broken stone age dawn, you fly so high …”

(From one of John’s favorite songs, “Strange Magic,” by ELO)

“Bye for Now,” John.
