LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Judith May O'Neill, known better as “The General” at Renee's Café where she worked for eight years, passed away Oct. 20, 2013, at the age of 75.

Her favorite hobbies were eating out and she loved playing at the casinos.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Woodmancy and Jody Leeper; grandchildren, Deanna Landeis, Ryan Stahl, Eric, Andrea and Kirsten Elliston; and six great-grandchildren.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Jeanne McCormack passed peacefully Oct. 10, 2013, at the age of 92.

She was born June 27, 1921, in Nenah, Wisconsin, where she grew up and later moved to California where she graduated from St. Agnes High School in Los Angeles.

Jeanne married Bob McCormack and had two children, Kathleen and Jack.

She won “Queen for a Day” with a story she had written about her special needs daughter.

During her career, she managed the yardage department at May Co. department store, becoming their first woman buyer.

Later she opened her own fabric store in Monterey Park, “Jeanne's Fabrics,” and operated it for 18 years.

Jeanne was also president of the Soroptimist in Monterey Park, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce there.

While traveling with Kathy to the Special Olympics in Sacramento, she heard about Lake County and in 1986 she and the children moved there.

Jeanne got her real estate license and worked for Dorothy Bowan Real Estate.

She was very involved with People Services and the Lake County Passion Play as a costume director for 16 years, and a member of St. Peters Woman's Club.

Jeanne loved life and was a very spiritual woman.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob, and daughter, Kathleen.

She is survived by her son, Jack, who owns “Jack's Place.”

A memorial Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 23, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Kelseyville.

She will be laid to rest at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Monterey Park, Calif.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Barbara Mitzie Cullison Maxwell Philpott, 73, passed away Aug. 29, 2013.

Barbara was born Oct. 22, 1939, to Price and Mitzie Cullison of Napa, Calif. She grew up in Napa and graduated class of 1958. She went on to Napa College taking textiles and fashion classes.

Barbara then moved to the central coast and lived in San Luis Obispo working as a certified cosmetologist for many years. She then switched careers to working in retail at J C Penney's and Egoistical.

After fulfilling her knack in retail she then worked at San Luis Sourdough Dough Gourmet Shop, Meridian Vineyards and Robert Hall Winery.

Barbara loved to cook and decided to pursue her dream by attending the Culinary Arts Academy in Paso Robles.

In 2007 Barbara met Ken at the Democratic Club in Paso Robles, two years later they moved to Lake County to be closer to family. They like exploring the countryside, trying new wines and visiting with family.

Barbara was an outstanding mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her partner, Kenneth Morisseau; son, Jefferson (Julia) Maxwell; sisters, Beverly Bates of Kelseyville, Deanna Tuell of Cobb, Shirley Malone of Citrus Heights, Gail Patterson of San Jose, Sandra Mueller of Kelseyville; brother, Jimmie Cullison of Napa; grandsons, Brandon and Ryan Macz; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Price and Mitzie Cullison, and sister, Carol Cullison.

A celebration of life will take place beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, 5340 Third St., Kelseyville.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Nicholas “Nick” Franklin Ivicevich I passed away Oct. 15, 2013, with his family by his side.

He was born in San Francisco Oct. 22, 1936, to Madeline and Peter Ivicevich, natives of the Island of Vis in Croatia.

Nick graduated from Mountain View class of 1954. In 1960 he moved to Lake County, following his best friend Ivan Lubich. Nick worked at Safeway while starting his Bartlett pear ranch in Scotts Valley and raising his young family.

He loved bowling, his Croation Fraternal Union, the Cannibal Club, his family, home and sometimes his trying, yet tranquil days on his very successful pear ranch.

Nick is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marlene “Cookie” Ivicevich; children, Diane (Ron) Jones, Pamela (Mike) Ivicevich-Hundley, Niko II (Teri) Ivicevich and Ginger Ivicevich; grandchildren, Julie Jones, Sara (Joel) Sippel, Christopher Jones, Alexandra Hundley, Nicholas III and Aaron Ivicevich, and Bruiser; great-grandchildren, Trevor and Cassidy Sippel. He also leaves his first wife, Joanne; his dear friend and loyal foreman of 40 years, Ramon, and his wife Maria Camarena; and many other friends and relatives.

Funeral service will be held on his birthday, 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 22, at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, Lakeport.

COBB, Calif. – Bennie Heinricks Jr. passed on Oct. 14, 2013, at his residence in Cobb.

He was born April 7, 1954, in Alaska to Bennie Heinricks Sr. and Inez (Mendenhall) Heinricks.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Darlene Ruggio, a longtime Lake County resident, passed away Oct. 12, 2013.

She loved horseback riding and animals.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will take place at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary in Lakeport from 10 a.m. to noon, with the funeral service starting at noon, Friday, Oct. 18.
