julianodinemug

Julia Nodine, Julie as she was called, passed peacefully the morning of Oct. 31, 2012. She was 74.

Her husband Richard says he shared her with the world for over 55 years, now she is with God. Lucky God.

Julie was quite the artist. She won in every art she mastered, stained glass, quilting, dolls and even hair.

Julie was fully involved in the Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild. She was chairperson of the Mystery Quilt Challenge for three years as well as chairing a fabric auction fundraiser, she taught classes for the guild, chaired the Falling Leaves Quilt Show, quilted for the Wounded Warrior project as well as made numerous baby quilts for Clearlake’s St. Helena Hospital, and made several quilts for the annual Christine Hansen Memorial Scholarship raffle.

On top of all she did for the quilt guild, she also became a member of the Lake County Master Gardner Program in 2008.

Whenever sewing and Master Gardner work could be combined, Julie was unquestionably the best candidate for the job.

A memorial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 N. High St., Lakeport.

Though God has her now, her husband, two sons and their families, and friends will forever miss her.
