Lower Lake – It’s May and we're preparing to graduate on the Thirtieth.

We are doing our S.T.A.R. testing from April Thirtieth to May Fifth. S.T.A.R testing is a test that helps the state sees what we have learned from our teachers.

Every student tries their best to ensure the Carlé staff gets recognized for all their hard work. Larissa Spurling said, “ Testing is pretty much the easiest thing we’ve done this year. Its just long and drawn out.

It’s definitely for people who like to think and that’s us!” We are trying to raise money for our alumni prom themed “As time goes by…” on May Nineteenth and for our Ashland field trip on may Eighth to the Eleventh so we are holding a yard sale on Saturday May fifth. Any donations are appreciated.

On May Eighteenth we will be having a whole slew of activities called Ruptured Duck. In this event all kinds of continuation schools get together and have some good old-fashioned fun with classic games like limbo and a three-legged race.

I’ll have more on that next article. As you all know we won model school for the third time in a row and received a beautiful student designed flag and an extraordinarily crafted plaque.

We have pictures of us with it on our school web site. Speaking of plaques we have about forty- seven senior plaques for our school that the school based enterprise generated and ninety-four academy plaques for Lower Lake High School’s Academy led by Nancy Harby.

We are creating plaques for The Lewis School Graduates, Konocti Community Day, for the Konocti district office: Classified Employee of the Year, Teacher of the year, and for Lower Lake Voc-ed awards sponsored by Dave Hubbard. We truly appreciate these groups helping us work on our design skills and ultimately create our budget for next year’s design students.
