LAKEPORT, Calif. – On Thursday, the Terrace Vikings hosted the Lake County Junior High Athletic League Wrestling Championship Tournament.

The Vikings entered six wrestlers – four boys and two girls – in the competition.

Twin brother and sister, Nathan and Ashley Pyorre, each won gold medals for the Vikings.

The Vikings finished with two gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze.

Nathan Pyorre (80 lbs.) went 2-0 with two pins to win his gold medal in the boys’ division.

Ashley Pyorre (100 lbs.) went 3-0 with three pins to win her gold medal in the girls’ division.

In the boys’ division, Elijah Alvarez (124 lbs.) went 2-1 and Hernan Romero (118 lbs.) was 1-1 each with one pin to win their silver medals.

Anyssa Perez (108 lbs.) was 2-1 with two pins to win her silver medal in the girls’ division.

Luis Aguilar secured his bronze medal in the 90-pound class in the boys’ division.
