KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The service at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County for Sunday, Aug. 15, will be presented by member James Field.

The service starts at 10 a.m. at the Kelseyville Senior Center, 5245 Third St., Kelseyville.

Field, a 2009 graduate of Starr King School for the Ministry, recently served as a hospital chaplain and ministerial intern in Manhasset, New York.

His sermon is entitled, “Life is a Marathon, Not a Sprint.”

Field completed his first marathon in 2009 and will use the lessons of distance running as a metaphor for the importance of patience and diligence as we live our lives and work to make a positive difference in the world.

Guests are welcome at services of the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County. A children’s religious education program is offered during the service.
