CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The Clearlake Community United Methodist Church welcomed Cindy Lawler, its new pastor, this month.
Lawler comes to Clearlake from Tehachapi.
Her interests include youth work, gardening sewing and cooking.
She is a graduate of the Pacific School of Religion TEL Program and is very excited about her new charge following Karl Parker and most recently John Pavoni as pastor for this dynamic church.
“I am very excited about getting to know this area and the people,” Lawler said. “Everyone has shown me such a warm welcome that I can’t wait to begin giving back.”
She continued, "I know that we are not perfect and it is sometimes hard to learn from a perfect example like our Lord,” so over the next several weeks she is offering a sermon series she's calling “Bad to the Bone?” in which she will explore some of the bad boys and girls from the Bible.
Sunday services at Clearlake Community United Methodist Church are held at 11 a.m. The church is located at 14521 Pearl St.
