United Christian Parish plans Holy Week services

LAKEPORT, Calif. — United Christian Parish is celebrating Holy Week with several events.

The Maundy Thursday service on April 14 at 5:30 p.m. will be a potluck dinner. If you want to bring something it would be welcomed, but if you can’t bring something to eat, come anyway. There’s always room for more at the table.

The Lake Ministerial Association will hold a joint Good Friday service at UCP on April 15. They will hear from pastors all around Lake County. It will be held from 12:05 to 12:55 p.m. to accommodate work schedules.

On Easter Sunday, April 17, they will celebrate at Library Park at 10 a.m. There will be free coffee, and goodies to purchase from Suzy Q’s.

If it rains the service and goodies will be moved to the UCP sanctuary at 745 N. Brush St.

Currently, masking is optional indoors and they are singing, but if you’re not feeling well please watch online on our YouTube channel “Audio Visual.” All services will be live streamed and available later.

The church welcomes the community to participate in its Holy Week celebrations.
