Caltrans plans major roadwork through Oct. 19

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around Lake County and the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Oak Grove Avenue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Bridge work from Private Drive to Cole Creek Road began on Monday, Oct. 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 53

– A full closure will be in effect Friday, Oct. 13, from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for the Homecoming Parade. Motorists should find an alternate route.

Highway 175

– Emergency highway repairs near Arroyo Vista Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work at Crispin Road to Cameron Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Bridge work from Little Lake Road to Private Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Slide repairs from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Median barrier installation from Geysers Road to Comminsky Station Road will continue. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Routine maintenance near Frog Woman Rock will continue. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Guardrail repairs at Crawford Creek Bridge will continue. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Bridge work at the Gibson Creek Bridge will end Friday, Oct. 13. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridge work at the Presswood Overhead Bridge will end Friday, Oct. 13. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic delays.

– Emergency wildfire repairs at Ridgewood Ranch Road will begin Friday, Oct. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorist should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Guardrail repairs at Haehl Overhead Bridge to Hollands Lane will continue. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Pavement work at Monica Lane will end Friday, Oct. 13. Lane restrictions will be in effect in both directions from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency repairs at Ryan Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, and Saturday, Oct. 14. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage repairs at Ryan Creek Road will end Friday, Oct. 13. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency pavement repairs from Long Valley Creek to the Empire Camp Rest Area will end Friday, Oct. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drainage repairs at various locations from Rattlesnake Creek Bridge to Tan Oak Park will end Friday, Oct. 13. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in both directions from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work near Hermitage Vista Point will end Sunday, Oct. 15. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency slide removal near the Dora Creek Bridge will end Friday, Oct. 13. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Guardrail repairs at Route 271 to Rock Reynolds Creek Bridge will continue. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Bridgework at the South Fork of Eel River Bridge will end Friday, Oct. 13. Lane restrictions in both directions will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 162

– Pavement work from 1 mile west of Poonkiny to Short Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency storm damage repairs at various locations from 1.7 miles east of Buckman Drive to the Lake/Mendocino County line will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary traffic signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Highway repairs near Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 271

– Emergency repairs at Piercy will continue. Full closure will be in effect 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays. Traffic will be detoured on Route 101.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
