HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE, Calif. – Allison Olson, professional advocate for Republican policies at the California State Capitol, will give an update on current legislation in California at the Lake County Republican Women, Federated Oct. 10 luncheon meeting.

The meeting will take place at the Greenview Restaurant, 19210 Hartmann Road, Hidden Valley Lake.

Olson joined the California Federation of Republican Women as a legislative advocate in 2009. She tracks and analyzes California state legislation, lobbies on behalf of the organization, and keeps the members informed on what is happening in the capitol.

She is a graduate of the University of California, Davis with a degree in political science.

She was awarded a fellowship with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies from April 2007 to May 2008. During that time, Olson studied in Israel and Washington D.C. with counter-terror experts.

She remains actively involved in defending Israel here through Stand with Us, a nonprofit organization that supports Israel through international education.

LCRWF, an organization that believes in being informed, involved and impactful, welcomes all registered Republican men and women to meetings, whether to hear a specific speaker or an interest in becoming a member. Men join as associate members. LCRWF meets monthly, February through November.

LCRWF is a local chapter of California Republican Women Federated which was established in 1925, and also retains membership in National Federation of Republican Women with headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia. There are more than 1,600 local clubs in the 50 states and in the U.S. Territories. Putting it simply, all Republican Women Federated members and associate members work to keep America a great nation. LCRWF will celebrate 70 years of this great work in November.

Attendees should arrive by 11:15 a.m. for the Oct. 10 luncheon meeting, as call to order is at 11:30 a.m., followed by specific agenda, lunch and featured speaker.
