Caltrans plans major roadwork through July 4

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

Caltrans will suspend most work on Northern California highways from Wednesday, July 3, through Sunday, July 7, in observance of the July 4th holiday.

However, in the case of unforeseen circumstances, it may be necessary for Caltrans maintenance forces to respond to emergency situations.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Drainage work from Blue Lakes Road to Bruner Drive will begin on Sunday, June 30. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Lucerne to Clear Lakes Oaks East will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Highway construction and utility work from Catholic Church Road to Long Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30am a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction for the Lake 20/53 Roundabout from Private Road to Route 53 South will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Highway construction for the Hartmann Roundabout from Putah Lane to Spruce Lane / Hidden Valley will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Drainage work from Diener Drive to Mockingbird Lane will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Highway construction from Putah Creek to Dry Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Emergency work at Brush Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Slide removal between North Limits Elk to two miles North of Elk will begin on Friday, June 28. On-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Slide removal at Navarro Bluff Road to one-mile South of Navarro Bluff Road will begin on Friday, June 28. On-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Core drilling will occur at Salmon Creek Bridge between Pacific Reefs Road and Salmon Creek will continue. One-way intermittent traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Drainage work will continue approximately 2.25 miles east of James Creek. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Roadwork from Hollands Lane to Walker Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Road striping operation from Access Road to Potter Road in Potter Valley will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays overnight. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Road work from Access Road to Potter Road in Potter Valley will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work from Reeves Canyon Road to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work at Willits High School on Tuesday, July 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work approximately one-mile North of Ryan Creek Road. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Special Event: Kate Wolff Festival 3.5 miles south of Rattlesnake Summit-Black Oaks Ranch from Thursday, June 26 to Monday, July 1. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency work near the Dora Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Shoulder work south of Piercy will occur on Friday, June 21 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– PG&E has been granted an encroachment permit for utility work one-half mile north of State Route 271 on Sunday, June 30 from 6 a.m. to 3 pm. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 128

– Guardrail work from Mill Creek to the East limits of Philo will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Route 1 to the East Limits of Philo on Monday, July 1 to Tuesday, July 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Shoulder work 1.5 miles north of Rodeo Creek Bridge will continue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 175

– Emergency work near the southern 29 junction will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Emergency work from Route 128, Boonville to Singley Cattlepass will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.
